Zach Kim
Bio: Hello - I'm Zach Kim; most of my team calls me "Zim." I am a Senior Engineering Management major with a concentration in Manufacturing. I have the pleasure of serving as President this year; I previously served as Head Coxswain. I began my rowing journey at Perrysburg High School, where I fell in love with the sport. Joining MURC has been one of the best decisions I have made at college; this is where I have found my community. I am excited to see what we can accomplish in the next year.

Emma Guinee
Bio: Hello everyone! My name is Emma Guinee. I am a Senior Marketing major from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am serving as Vice President for the 2023 - 2024 school year. Last year I had the opportunity to serve as Publicity Chair but I am excited for a new challenge. I had no rowing experience before joining MURC so I was very nervous about what was ahead. But joining this team has been the best decision I've ever made! I knew I was joining a team on the water but never expected to find a family on land. I encourage everyone to join MURC and find their home at Miami like I did.

Melanie Kase
Bio: Hi! I’m Melanie Kase, and I am the women’s captain this year! I’m a junior kinesiology major with minors in disability studies and psychology, and I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio where I rowed for Upper Arlington High School. I joined MURC at the beginning of my freshman year and could not be more grateful for this team and the friends I’ve made through this club!

Luc Skutaris
Bio: Hi -- My name's Luc Skutaris and I have the pleasure of serving as the Men's Captain this year. I'm a Senior from Larchmont, New York, where I rowed for 4 years at PCRA. I've been on the team for 3 years, joining the fall of my sophomore year. I joined MURC my first week of school and have loved every moment of my time with this team and these amazing people!

Camden Weiss
Bio: Hello! I am Camden Weiss, and I am the current treasurer for MURC. I am a junior currently majoring in Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I went to high school in Urbana, Ohio. I first started rowing in college when I joined MURC, and I have loved it since! Outside of rowing, I enjoy playing basketball, running, and traveling.

Owen Hall
Bio: Hello! My name is Owen Hall, and I have the pleasure of being our 2023-2024 Equipment Manager. I am a junior from Ashburn, Virginia, where I rowed for three years with Stone Bridge High School. Outside of rowing, I am in Army ROTC and like to cook and be outdoors. I joined the team in the second semester of my freshman year, and it has been the best time of my life!

Bio: Hey everyone! I’m Malia Johns, a junior nutrition major with a minor in psychological sciences. I joined the team second semester of my freshman year with no rowing experience and it was the best decision! MURC has given me my best friends at Miami and I am excited to serve as the club secretary this year!

Safety Chair
Ava Wehner
Bio: Hello! I'm Ava Wehner, and I'm very excited to be the Safety Chair for the team this year! I am a sophomore from Columbus OH, majoring in marketing and sustainability. This will be my 6th year in the sport---in high school I rowed for Central Ohio Rowing (formerly Dublin Crew) and Upper Arlington Crew. Joining crew is such a great way to get involved and make the best friends! I am very grateful for all the amazing experiences this team has brought me, and I'm excited for the future of the team.

Bio: Hi! I’m Duncan Knopf and I am serving as the internal fundraising chair this year! I am a Sophomore Architecture student from Franklin, Tennessee. I started rowing in the spring of 2023, and I am excited to be back for another season! I have really enjoyed getting to know the team and spend time with them!

Bio: Hey -- I am Catelynn Collins and I am very excited to be the external fundraiser this year. I am a Senior from Sandusky, Ohio. I started rowing fall of my freshman year with no rowing experience. This will be my third and final year with MURC and I am so excited to see how the team grows this season.

Publicity Chair
Adriana Hesson
Bio: Hi, I'm Adriana Hesson and I'm the publicity chair for the 23-24 school year! I am a junior marketing major and spanish minor from Grand Blanc, Michigan. Despite never having rowed previous to college, this will be my 5th season on the team and I couldn't be happier! I've made some of my best friends at college on this team and gotten to travel to different cities for regattas with them. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us :)

Bio: Hi! I’m Hailey Fisk and I am this years social chair!! I’m a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio, majoring in Strategic Communications and Entrepreneurship. I had never rowed before until I decided to join MURC last semester on a whim - and I am so glad I did! I loved every single second of this past spring and I’m looking forward to this year together.

Bio: Hi everyone! My name is Christina Moore and I will be the Head Coxswain for this year. I am a senior from Cleveland, Ohio majoring in Supply Chain & Operations Management. I joined MURC my sophomore year so this is my third year as a coxswain. I have no previous rowing experience, but I have enjoyed every moment I have had with the team and the sport!

Student Coach
Avery Riekert
Bio: Hi! I’m Avery and I serve as MURC’s student coach. I am a Senior from Cincinnati, and previously rowed and peer coached at Great Miami Rowing Center. I was certified to coach by USRowing in February of 2018. I joined MURC in the spring of my sophomore year while attending another nearby university, but transferred to Miami the semester after joining the team. I’m so thankful for this team for all the memories i’ve made and i’m ready to make more memories this year!
